The Taj Mahal was built in 1653 by the Mughal king Shah Jahan as the final resting place for his darling wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal is India’s most mesmerizing and stunning monument made of Marble. This monument took 22 years of manual labor of about 20,000 workers to put together. It can be observed from Agra Fort from where Emperor Shah Jahan fixed his eyes at it for the last 8 years of his life, a hostage of his son Aurangzeb.
