St. Johns Church Magnificent monument lies 8 km upward from Dharamsala.
The church was built in 1852 and leaves the traces of British rule in India.
Because of its architectures, Designing having beautiful stained glass windows, it is popularly called the church of St. John in Wilderness.
A statuette of Lord Elgin, the then British Viceroy of India has been erected here, who died in Dharamsala in 1863. Besides the memorial, there is an old graveyard on the slopes of the church.
