Jal Mahal- A water Palace located in the centre of Man Sagar Lake of Jaipur city. Famous for its convoluted architecture, the Jal Mahal was built in 1799 AD by Sawai Pratap Singh for duck shooting parties.
Built of red sandstone, the first four floors of this structure are under water with only the top floor being visible. A causeway connects this palace to the mainland.
This palace is now abandoned, but reasonably well preserved.
