Agra Fort, situated 2.5 km near the gardens of Taj Mahal. Popularly known as Red Fort of Agra. The fort is described as walled city. Many Great Mughal Rulers like Akbar, Humayun, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb lived in this Fort. The fort was transformed into a palace during Shah Jahans time, and amended comprehensively with marble.
Agra Fort dictates the centre of the city. The crescent-shaped fort has a twenty meters high and two and a half km long outer wall that contains a web of buildings that form a small city within a city.
Fort includes Pearl Mosque, the Diwan-e-Aam and Diwan-e-Khas (halls of public and private audience), Jahangirs Palace, Khas Mahal, Shish Mahal (mirror palace), and the Musamman Burj.
