Sri Venkateswara Temple – ancient and sacred Temple located on Tirupati hills. This temple of the Hindus is a famous pilgrimage site of India.
Reflecting Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu or deity Venkateswara who is also called Balaji, Srinivasa, Venkatachalapathy and Lord of seven Hills.
The idol inside the main shrine is self-manifested. Devotees chant “”Yedu Kondala Vada Venkataramana Govinda Govindaa” at the temple. Festivals like Vaikunta Ekadasi, Rama Navami and Brahmotsavam are celebrated with great enthusiasm at the temple. The temple of Lord Sri Venkateswara has a great history. The rulers of great dynasties of the southern peninsula have paid homage to Lord Sri Venkateswara in this ancient shrine.
