Humayuns Tomb- the eldest son of Babur succeeded his father and became the 2nd emperor of the Mughal Empire.
Haji Begum, the Persian wife of Humayun, supervised the construction of a tomb for husband in the mid 16th century, this red sand stone, with white and black marble structure is considered to be the predecessor of Taj Mahal.
The structure is best example of Mughal Architecture. Humayuns wife is also buried in the red and white sandstone, black and yellow marble tomb.
The Humayun‘s Tomb is also listed in UNESCO‘s list of World Heritage Sites.
