Jama Masjid It is largest mosque in India, Constructed in 1648 by Shah Jahan & credited to his daughter, Princess Jahanara Begum. Renowned for its extraordinary dome, Jama Masjid is a magnificent integration of Iranian architecture made up of red sandstone with little white marble decoration and blue colour paint wall and ceilings.
The entrance to the Jama Masjid Agra is through the massive gate Buland Darwaza, one of the highest gateways in the world, standing 40 meters high from ground level. It was constructed by Emperor Akbar to celebrate his victory in the Khandesh military campaign.
