Shivasamudram

Shivasamudram – 80 km east of Mysore.

India’s first hydro-electric power station was built here in 1902 at the Cauvery river falls. The twin falls known as Ganganachukki and Bharchukki, fall nearly 100 mts in a series of cascades.
