Ashoka Pillar

Ashoka Pillar in Vaishali was built by Mauryan Emperor Ashoka (250 BC. Ashoka Pillar is 18.3 m high and is made of a highly polished single piece of red sandstone capped by a bell shaped capital.

Atop the Ashoka Pillar has four life size lions are placed. Adjacent to the Ashoka Pillar is a small tank called as Ramkund.
